How long does it take to get a visa?

Usually, with the inclusion of premium processing, it takes around 4-6 months for the teacher to arrive at your district, starting from the day you sign the agreement.

How can we determine if our school is eligible to sponsor H1B

candidates?

The H1B program offers eligibility for hiring teachers in the majority of public schools. Nevertheless, if your institution seeks CAP Exempt status, there are specific documents that require verification. To receive guidance on this matter, feel free to consult with one of our experts.

What happens at the conclusion of the J1 Exchange Program?

Certain exchange visitors holding J-1 visas may be obligated to fulfill a two-year home-country physical presence requirement. This entails the participant returning to their home country for a minimum of two years after completing their exchange program. This requirement is established under U.S. law, specifically in the Immigration and Nationality Act, Section 212(e).

In the event that you intend to petition these individuals for an H1B visa, they will need to obtain a waiver for the two-year home-country requirement. This waiver can be acquired through the Department of State. We are pleased to guide you in this process by referring you to our legal immigration partner.

What is the duration of employment for J1 participants in our school?

The participant's stay is for a total of 5 years. Initially, they will receive a DS2019 and visa validity for 3 years, with the option to extend their stay for additional 1-year increments after the 3rd year.
